| Welcome to the fifth annual Midview Athletic Hall of Fame
enshrinement. This year’s class includes athletes who performed before and
also after the consolidation of the former Belden, Eaton and Grafton High
Schools into the Midview Local School District. Bob Lynch, Bob Burdick, Dick
Hawke, Allen Stacey, Kim Bickel Gregory and the 1976 MHS Football Team were
all outstanding in their era and they deserve the honor that is being
bestowed upon them this evening.
In looking back to our first four classes and now this class of 2005, we can all share the pride of their accomplishments. I also reflect on how fortunate we are to have our own ◄Tim Alcorn► as our emcee. His robust introduction of the inductees really sets the tone for our banquets. I have received numerous comments supporting that opinion. Our speakers have been both informative and entertaining and what a thrill it is to have a true broadcasting legend, ◄Gib Shanley► with us this evening. If you have been and are a Browns fan, the clear precise style of the “Voice of the Browns” has been the standard by which his successors have been compared. Don’t forget to visit our website for information regarding the inductees and the Hall of Fame in general. It also presents an excellent opportunity for alumni to register under their class year and as a billboard for class reunions and related activities.
