Rose & Randy Harris

Rose & Randy Harris - MAHOF Special Recognition
Over a period of some thirty years, Randy and Rose Harris did just about every thing needed to be done for Midview athletes and the Midview Booster Club.

Randy served as President, Vice President, Membership Chairman, and Treasurer. Randy and Rose teamed up to do the programs for many years. Rose served as treasurer and secretary as well as program chairman at one time or another.

Randy’s contributions included fixing phone wires, repairing the press box, taking game films and fixing and operating the scoreboard for the home football games, He built the goal posts at Adelsberg Stadium and helped build the press box.

Randy enjoyed all sports with football being his favorite, and basketball and baseball high on his list. Randy continued his activities right up to his death from cancer on November 8, 1996. He received a standing ovation from the fans at the last football game he attended the week before his death. The tribute was planned by Phil Sheffield, Bob Cunningham, Ed Adelsberg and Stan Hughes. The contributions of Rose and Randy Harris to Midview Athletics are not and will not be forgotten.

Rose and Randy are well deserving of this honor.
